Tucked away in a small group of shops, you'd honestly drive right by this eatery if it wasn't on your radar. Technically, they're called House of Salad Woodfire Pizza Restaurant, which is a bit of a mouthful, so it's just House of Salad to us.
We love garlic, so the garlic bread ($7) was a must to start off with. The thickly sliced french bread was promptly delivered, albeit a bit dry for our liking. Not sure if it was dry as a result of overcooking (because it wasn't burnt), or dry from the lack of garlic butter. Regardless, we both agreed it could've used a generous dousing of both butter and garlic. We still ate all four pieces, so clearly we weren't too dismayed ;P

|Bright & Beautiful|
I requested a medium Bright & Beautiful Woodfire Organic Pizza ($19) which, to Shawn's chagrin, came out as a large. Oops! ;) Nevertheless, size didn't bother me at all because it was yum! Generously covered with pumpkin, broccoli, garlic oil, lemon, thyme, vintage cheddar, and gorgonzola cheese, it was most definitely beautiful! And because it was organic, it made it even more super special!
So, what did we think? Yeah, the food was pretty good, and so was the service. If you're in the area, we'd recommend to give them a try. Speaking of, they seem to have a pretty solid following in Eltham, with locals constantly popping in, and being recognized by first name - that's always a good sign!
